Wireblock original typeface design
Graphis New Talent 2025 Silver Award
WIREBLOCK is inspired by plywood and metal mid-century modern furniture. The proportions of the letterforms are based on the structure of Bodoni and Didot. Many design focused brands use close derivations of these fonts. I envision WIREBLOCK existing in a similar space. I created a type specimen book in the form of a poster zine to demonstrate its versatility as a font for editorial and poster design. I also used Illustrator’s 3D tools to transform the letters into 3d rendered forms with wood and metal textures.
